The Slovak Paradise is a real paradise for hiking lovers. This national park is famous for its canyons, which offer unique hiking trails. The most famous of them are Suchá Bela, Piecky, Hornád Pass and Veľký Sokol. In the Slovak Paradise you will also find a number of waterfalls and caves. Among the most famous is the Dobšinská Ice Cave, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
What can the jewel of central Slovakia - Mala Fatra - offer you? Hiking trails - here you can choose between easy walks through the valleys or more challenging climbs to the peaks such as Veľký Kriváň, Chleb or Malý Rozsutec. In addition to hiking trails, Mala Fatra also offers a number of waterfalls, among the most beautiful of which is the Šútovský waterfall, where you can enjoy a pleasant refreshment.
World Heritage Gems
Slovakia is home to several magnificent monuments that are listed as UNESCO World Heritage Sites. These include the town of Bardejov, which has been listed since 2000 and is known for its beautiful historical architecture. The town hall, which is considered to be one of the most beautiful in Slovakia, is located on the square. The square is surrounded by historic houses and the Church of St. Egidius.
In the heart of Slovakia there is a small town that will immediately transport you to medieval times. Levoča, a beautiful town in the Presov region, is home to many historical monuments and cultural sites that were listed in 2009. One of the most important symbols of Levoča is certainly the majestic St. James Church, which houses the altar of Master Paul.
